Happy Summer or should I say "Happy Forever" which is the name of this months stamp set. When I sat down to design for this month's hop, I wasn't really crazy about the furry little critters but now I LOVE them! I have probably have way too many pictures this month but the little critters kind of became a permanent fixture on each of the layouts for Kayla's prom. Hope you enjoy.

As I sit with a throbbing headache on this cold and very windy Mother's Day, I'm hoping all my scrapbook mom's are having a much better day than myself. I was so desperate for pain relief I took a BC powder, let's just say it wasn't pretty. I hope everyone has had a chance to look at the new Idea Book. What's your favorite pattern? Mine is Splendor. However, I've had no time for scrapbooking with this darn concession stand I volunteered to take care of. Anyway, enough of my doom and gloom, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! Celebrate my scrapbooking! I am so ready for warmer weather. It was a tough winter in Pennsylvania this year. But warmer weather also means a new idea book. Yeh! I was able to preview it starting April 1st and it is amazing. I will be joining the Penn State Medical Center Operation Smile Chapter on Wednesday, March 3rd at Friendly's Restaurant for a fundraising event. Friendly's will donate 10% of all proceeds that evening to Operation Smile. Please come out and support a wonderful cause. Just got an update today from corporate that the February campaign to raise money for Haiti has been a huge success! But, that means the stock of textured cardstock is running low and out in some colors. What's still available is Spring Harmony, Summer Celebration, and Autumn Harvest. Snowed In & Scrapping!

The only good thing about being snowed in is the time I have to scrapbook! I am definitely enjoying this part of the storm. I will never wish for lots of snow again. My wish was more than granted. I don't think I have seen so much snow in all my life. Pennsylvania has been gentle to us the last 3 years! Here's the first of my layouts with more to come.

Hello all! Welcome to Alison's "Sticky Girl Stamps" Monthly Blog Hop. I love this stamp of the month! The possibilities are endless and I love any stamp that I can color in. Here is just a simple layout using Caboodle. I embossed the "Make a Wish" and "Happy Birthday" sentiments with CTMH Heavenly Blue embossing powder. I don't know if it shows, but I used liquid glass on the cake stands and flowers and prisma glitter on the candles. The outside edge was stitched with sassy strands. Trying to vendor 2 events on Saturday was a bit much but you ladies rock! It was a great day for business and meeting new CTMH followers. Sunday will definitely be a day of rest to prepare for the upcoming week. I'm so excited to finally start teaching at my new job. The next Central Penn Crop is February 20th. On a more personal note, I've posted a link to some videos of my boys in their elements of diving and singing. Since I missed Josh's concert due to my surgery, I went to the retirement village to listen to him sing. He even had a little solo! Proud mama I was. If you view the videos, you have to wait until they completely load, which some of them can take a minute.

What a week!

Rain, rain, go away, come again another day! We have had so much rain, too bad it wasn't snow like some areas got. And of all times for our sump pump to go out! Yikes, can we say flooded basement? Luckily, I work part time and came down to the basement when I got home and immediately was on the phone to my hubby. Luckily, my scrapbooking room did not get any water in it! Who cares about the the XBox and Wii, save my scrapbooking supplies! But all was not lost because I got a wonderful new client from CTMH's consultant locator. Thanks corporate!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

My favorite commercial is the Staple's commercial where the parents are going through the store buying school supplies and this song is playing. Well, it's that time of year again where all the kiddies (including myself) are going back to school. It's also that time of year for the new Close To My Heart Fall/Winter Idea Book to come out. There are 4 new sets of paper designs that are fabulous. There is also a new "Snapease" system for our albums; no more screwing and unscrewing the posts. I just got mine and I love them, so simple. There's also a new holiday circle card kit that's so so cute. Enough teasing, you've only got one more week and you can see it all yourself. I'll be posting some new artwork with the papers as soon as I get them uploaded.

Quarter Mania

Well, I participated in my first quarter auction (aka exercise bootcamp) because I worked my bootie off. It was so fun even though I didn't win anything. I didn't really make a lot of money but is was great for advertising and I got 60+ names, addresses, and emails (hopefully potential customers)! Thanks Marianne, Lori, their mom, Jenn, Megan, and their mom for attending. You guys rock! Got another quarter auction up at the Holiday Inn Grantville on August 26th. Details coming!

I Passed My Graduate Degree Test!!!

I'm so excited. As of Friday, I will have completed my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction and I just found out I passed the cumulative graduation test. I can't believe I'm finally done.

Quarter Auction

I've never heard of such a thing but it sounds like so much fun and hopefully good for the business. My First Post

Well, blogging seems to be the way to go these days. I thought I was pretty technologically literate but I'm beginning to feel a little out of touch. As a new consultant for Close to My Heart, blogging should be a good way to display my work and perhaps some helpful hints as well as customers making suggestions and comments.

I will continue to explore other blogs in hopes of making mine more useful for my customers. Feel free to point in the direction of someone who has a cool blog.
